Ash Wednesday Release Day
Parents and guardians are encouraged to register children in JK through to grade six in this year’s Ash Wednesday Release Day, which will take place on February 22nd.
Children from parishes in the Mohawk Region of the diocese will gather once again at St. John’s, Ancaster, for a great day of learning and fun.
The theme for the day is “Treasures in Heaven” and the children will be kept busy all day with crafts, music, games, and other activities.
There is no charge for this event but children are asked to bring their own nut-free lunch and a non-perishable item(s) or toiletry product(s) for St. Matthew’s House.
If you know of children who may be interested in this release day or if you’re a teenager or adult who’d like to volunteer for this event, please speak to Elizabeth as soon as possible. Registration for this event closes on February 13th. We hope to see you there!
