ADVENT LUNCHTIME ORGAN RECITALS – Bring your lunch and soak in the wonderful music! Tuesday December 18th from 12:15 to 1pm. Admission $5. Tea and coffee will be served. Simon Irving and Janice Beninger will be playing our last Advent recital Dec 18.



Wednesday, December 19 at 7 pm


Preparing ourselves for worship. Postures and practices. Rituals, symbols, art, poetry and music, sound and silence, movement and stillness.

NEXT GOOD FOOD BOX day is Friday Dec. 21st, in time for Christmas.  Let the office know if you will want a box that day.

Dec 24 – 7 pm. Family Pageant and Eucharist

(40 min) Come dress as angels, shepherds or animals.

– 10pm. Traditional ‘Midnight Mass’ (1hr)

ST MATTHEW’S HOUSE – St James is known for its care and support of St Matthew’s House.  The St Matthew’s Christmas Family drive is under way here at St James and food donations continue to pour in.  Thank you all for supporting those initiatives. But if you can, when making your year end charitable donations, please remember St Matthew’s House, by phoning to donate 905 523 5546, or going to their website     If you prefer you can put a cheque payable to St Matthew’s House on the offertory plate, and we will see that it gets to St Matthew’s.

9TH ANNUAL WINTER COAT AND BOOT DRIVE – WINTER COATS and BOOTS are coming in!  More expected as the weather gets colder and need greater! Please bring in ONLY winter coats and boots for men women and children.  Gloves and mitts for men also needed. Please hang coats up at back of stage on the right. These items will be made readily accessible to people in need of them through St. Matthew’s House. “Can we collect 350 coats?”  And the people answered heartily, “Yes, we can!”

FOR THE JOURNEY: A TWO DAY RETREAT WITH STEVE BELL ….SAVE THIS WEEKEND DATE AND TIMES Friday February 8, 2019 from 7:30pm until 9:00pm  Saturday February 9, 2019 from 9:00am until 3:30pm (catered lunch for your choice) A weekend of learning, song, discussion and fellowship. Steve will also be our guest with stories and songs, for our Sunday morning service on February 10, 2019.
