SOMETHING’S COMING
A new website for Saint James has been designed by our own Mike Anderson and we hope to take it live before Christmas! Also, based on the ideas we gathered at our ‘vision meeting’ in September, a new logo is being designed to compliment the website. Those of our congregation who are active online especially on Facebook can do wonderful things for our church profile in the community by:
- ‘LIKING / FOLLOWING’ our Facebook page and leaving a positive review about what Saint James means to you.
- SHARING posts from our Facebook page to yours (please don’t just ‘like’ the posts).
- FOLLOW us on Twitter and RETWEET.
- Share positive information, stories and photos.
- Send photos from ALL church activities to Mike Deed via to be included in our publicity / profile. Remember to have permission to take photos and to say ‘whats going on’.
THE JILL AWARD
The ‘Jill Award’ is given annually to a volunteer who exemplifies the spirit of volunteerism at Saint James Church, particularly those who encourage the next generation of volunteers. The qualities in such a volunteer would include accountability, inclusivity, a passion for helping others, dependability and commitment. Nominations are open from December 1st – January 31st. Nomination forms are available from the welcome centre in the Narthex. The Jill award will be presented at the annual vestry meeting of Saint James Church
The completed form should be submitted directly to the Rector.
URGENT! ADOPT-A-FAMILY PRESENTS
The deadline for bringing in your presents for Adopt-A-Family has been extended to December 8th. Although we appreciate your generosity, please do not bring them Saturday during the House Tour since it will be too hectic to receive them.
Please call the office 905-627-1424 for information. Thank you for your support.
