WEDNESDAY – COMPLINE – 9:15 p.m. Note the time change until the end of May! Compline is a short service of night prayer. The heart of Compline is the recitation of several psalms. The duties of the wardens are laid out in the canons of the Diocese, but it is not unusual to see the wardens involved in other areas in addition to these duties.  Also, wardens are often “connected” to specific areas within the parish as a way of the Corporation keeping in touch with the various groups in their day-to-day activities.  The wardens have each taken on specific areas in order to maintain continuity within the parishes day-to-day operations.  The chart below indicates the areas associated with the specific warden:

A desire to become a member of a Book Club, which meets one day a month on a weekday - except for the summer months, has been expressed by some members of St. James.  You would meet in each others' homes once a month; taking turns hosting and presenting a book everyone has read.  The presenter is the person who recommended the book.  If you would like to become a member of this group, please get in touch with the office 905-627-1424 or stjamesdundas@outlook.com

Please consider supporting the St. Matthew's House Seniors Support program by donating non-perishable food items and personal care items. These items can be placed in the white tower in the narthex. St. Matthew’s House supports seniors by assisting them to remain independent in their own homes. If you have any questions please contact Terese via the office

Please note that for the safety of St. James staff and volunteers the doors to the building will be locked during office hours due to some folks wandering unknowingly.  Please ring the bell and be patient for someone to let you in.
